The red wine Roda I Reserva Rioja DOCa, vintage 2005 from the winery Bodegas Roda has been rated in 2017 by Sautter, Ulrich with 93 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Tempranillo from the region La Rioja in Spain.
Delicate aromas of maturity, milk chocolate, sweet cherry, some date and mint. Velvet and silk on the palate, yet there are definitely reserves of fruit behind the charming impression. The tannins still shows some graininess on the finish, and it is accompanied by a firm mineral core. The acidity remains rather scarce. it is wonderful to drink now, but will continue to refine for a few years.
