The red wine Terra Incognita Ribera del Duero DO, vintage 2011 from the winery Bodegas Vilano has been rated in 2017 by Ulrich Sautter with 93 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Tempranillo from the region Castile and Leon in Spain.
Aromas of sandalwood, prune, butter, blueberry, after air contact also sage pastille, viola, thyme. On the palate a very soft attack, fine tannins that slowly rise to a wall of pixels. Creamy base, closed fruit, acidity well integrated with the powerful alcohol. It has a clear chalky-mineral imprint and great reserves of fruit for bottle aging.
