The red wine I Salci Chianti Classico Gran Selezione DOCG, vintage 2016 from the winery Borgo Salcetino has been rated in 2023 by Othmar Kiem & Simon Staffler with 89 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Sangiovese, Canaiolo from the region Chianti classico in Italy.
Very rich, intense ruby. On the nose, opens with light toasted notes, notes of coconut and milk chocolate but the fruit remains hidden. The palate is marked by rich, new wood, vanilla and milk chocolate, but the finish is harsh, with very drying tannins.
