The red wine Prima Causa IGT, vintage 2012 from the winery Cantina LaSelva has been rated in 2016 by Othmar Kiem with 92 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Aglianico from the region Maremma in Italy.
Rich, deep dark ruby with violet shimmer. Concentrated nose with notes of ripe dark currants, some leather and rosemary in the background. Opens with a lot of rich and present fruit, cassis and elderberries, grippy, fine-meshed tannins, very long finish.
