The red wine Villamagna DOC, vintage 2019 from the winery Cantina Piandimare has been rated in 2022 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 89 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Montepulciano d'Abruzzo from the region Abruzzo in Italy.
Dark ruby, subtly brighter at the rim. On the nose, very savoury from the barrel, very ripe dark berries, and shoe polish. The palate is full-bodied, with grippy tannins and malty nuances, also perceptible oak in the mouth; unfortunately a little drying on the finish.
