The red wine Sagrantino di Montefalco Passito DOCG, vintage 2017 from the winery Cantine Briziarelli has been rated in 2022 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 90 Falstaff points.
Deep dark, rich ruby purple. On the nose, rum steeped fruit, pickled Amarena cherry, rich plum, but also dried fruit, dried fig and fine notes of clove. On the palate with grippy tannins, gripping, finishes drying, will want to mature for a long time.
