The red wine Montefalco Rosso DOC, vintage 2019 from the winery Cantine Briziarelli has been rated in 2022 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 89 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Sangiovese, Merlot, Sagrantino
Dark ruby with a subtly brightening rim. Ripe plum, violet, some mint and white pepper on the nose, with elderberries on the finish. The palate is full-bodied and earthy with dark and savoury tannins, but unfortunately locks up a little at the back.
