The red wine Brunello di Montalcino DOCG, vintage 2013 from the winery Capanna has been rated in 2018 by Othmar Kiem with 94 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Sangiovese from the region Tuscany in Italy.
Bright, rich ruby with a slight garnet edge. Clear and intense nose, of ripe plum and cherry confit, dark raspberry and some earthy tones in the background. Juicy and intense in approach and course, shows a lot of clear fruit, again plum and cherry, opens with finely meshed, vivid tannin, shows good tension, savoury finish.
