The red wine Brunello di Montalcino DOCG, vintage 2015 from the winery Caparzo has been rated in 2020 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 90 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Sangiovese from the region Tuscany in Italy.
Brilliant, rich garnet red. Beautifully marked nose with inviting notes of ripe plums, some rose petals, saffron in the background. Good approach, shows good fruit, then opens with vivid tannin, unfortunately becomes quite sandy on the finish, caramel.
