The red wine Chianti Classico Gran Selezione DOCG, vintage 2014 from the winery Casa Sola has been rated in 2019 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 92 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Sangiovese from the region Tuscany in Italy.
It has an intense and bright ruby red colour, with a slightly brick red rim. On the nose there is a lack of precision, with aromas of varnish, truffle, and a note of anchovy in the background. On the palate it is very juicy, vivid, and salty, evolving powerfully with good drive. There is an emphatic red berry flavour, and it finishes long and juicy.
