The red wine Rio Sordo Barbaresco DOCG, vintage 2014 from the winery Cascina delle Rose has been rated in 2017 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 93 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Nebbiolo from the region Piedmont in Italy.
Bright ruby with an intense garnet rim. Initially light earthy notes on the nose, some truffle, then cranberry confit and juicy cherry. Taut, hearty tannins on the palate, nice depth, salty, smooth and persistent.
