The red wine Chianti Classico Riserva DOCG, vintage 2018 from the winery Castello di Cacchiano has been rated in 2022 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 93 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Sangiovese
It has a brilliant dark ruby red colour. On the nose there is an aroma of elegant green savouriness, as well as cassis, blackcurrant, elderberry, and lovely mint. On the palate it is full-bodied and elegant, unfolding beautifully over the tongue. It has its own style, it lingers for a long time, and is somewhat rough on the finish.
