The white wine Limoux AOC Caretas, vintage 2015 from the winery Cathare - Franck Schisano has been rated in 2019 by Ulrich Sautter with 89 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Chenin Blanc from the region Languedoc-Roussillon in France.
Reductive, tangerine, canned pineapple. Some wood. Sweetness on the attack, mild base, then however also alcohol-carried and full-bodied with pithy acid backbone. Seems a little greenly compacted. Hints of generosity, but then again austerity. Only young, or actually somewhat disparate?.
