The red wine »Cal Calàs Selecció«, vintage 2021 from the winery Celler Capçanes has been rated in 2024 by Ulrich Sautter with 93+ Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Syrah, Grenache, Carignan from the region Montsant in Spain.
The aroma blends balsamic, herbal and savoury notes with cherry fruit and woody aromas. The palate is lined with mild, mealy tannins, which contain a fine extracted sweetness and a lively acid nerve. On the finish, the wine is juicy and clearly slate-mineral, leaving an impression of elegance despite the strong alcohol. A good accompaniment to food, such as braised dishes.
