Rich, deep dark ruby red. Medium expressiveness on the nose, rich blackberry confit, some cassis. Distinctly spicy on the palate with nuances of dark chocolate and coffee grounds, yet textured with tight-knit tannins, expands well, somewhat bitter on the finish due to the oak.
