This has a dark ruby colour. With a fully ripe nose there are aromas of cassis and blackberry, plus notes of spicy minerality, and a certain austerity that creates tension. It is mellow on the palate, with a soft structure, a restrained ripe acidity, again with lots of dark fruit, fine ripe tannins, and impressive length. It has certain ageing potential.
