Medium brassy gold in colour with a subtle mousse. Nuances of ripe pear fruit, dried apricot, apple peel and mango, underlaid with some meadow herbs. It's powerful on the palate with a delicate nougat note, pears and the subtle sweetness of yellow plums at the core. Green olives and a loamy terroir touch also emerge en route to the lightly salty-tobacco finish. (Cru Vandiéres, Solera 1992 to 2019, disgorged 03/2023), PM.
