Tasting Notes
Strong ruby garnet, purple reflections, ochre rim. Delicate herbal savouriness, some cassis, black cherries, tobacco nuances. Full-bodied, elegant, fine fruit sweetness, mineral and balanced, cherries in the aftertaste, certain ageing potential, a fine, accessible food companion.
More about the tastingDark ruby garnet, violet reflections, subtle edge brightening, floral nuances, almost syrah-like violet notes, black cherries, fine wood spice, rather reminiscent of the Rhône. Medium complexity, pleasant extract sweetness, well-integrated, present tannins, spicy finish, shows good length, but also a rather atypical aroma for Margaux.
More about the tastingDeep dark ruby garnet, violet reflections, delicate edge brightening, restrained, herbal-spicy nuances, underlaid with a hint of dried fruit, tobacco nuances, candied orange zest. Complex, taut, distinct acidity, firm tannins, delicate leafy nuances on the finish, somewhat demanding style, lively, still needs a lot of time.
