The red wine Girolate, vintage 2001 from the winery Château Girolate has been rated in 2006 with Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Merlot from the region Entre-Deux-Mers in France.
Deep dark, opaque color. Smoky smoked notes on the nose, dark berries, blackberries, some cedar wood. Elegant, powerful on the palate, firm, well-integrated tannins, very good aromatic harmony, lingers well, sweet and long, versatile food companion, roasted aromas and chocolate on the finish.
