Tasting Notes
Cassis on the nose, impeccably ripe vintage. The palate is dense and plump, with a slightly viscous base, concentrated and packed with fine-grained tannin, lots of fruit and juiciness in the background. Acidity and alcohol in balance, with great mineral depth. Grows near Fronsac on the Guinaudeau family's second estate (Château Lafleur). Many a Cru Classé would be happy to present so well.
More about the tastingDark ruby garnet, violet reflections, delicate edge brightening. Delicate nuances of redcurrant and blackberry, a hint of nougat, some herbal spice, attractive bouquet. Juicy, finesse-rich acidity structure, present tannins, dark berry fruit on the finish, remains good, tobacco notes in the aftertaste.
