In unseren sonnigen Rebbergen bei Varen reifen seit bald zwei Jahrzehnten auch die berühmten Merlot-Trauben heran.
Um aus den kleinbeerigen Früchten einen kraftvollen & körperreichen Rotwein mit komplexem Aromenbukett zu gewinnen, braucht es vor allem eines: viel Geduld!
Erst nach einer je 12-monatigen Reifung im Barrique, im Stahltank sowie am Schluss in der Flasche, entfaltet dieser Merlot «Reserve» seine wahren Qualitäten und avanciert zum besonders edlen Trinkgenuss.

On the nose notes of triple fruit confit, plum and cherry. In addition, spicy-balsamic nuances. Full-bodied on the palate, with ripe acidity and aromas of confit dark wild berries and toasty nuances. Slightly noticeable tannin and some spiciness in the medium-long finish.
