The white wine Sauvignon Blanc, vintage 2005 from the winery Dog Point Vineyards has been rated in 2006 with Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Sauvignon Blanc from the region Marlborough in New Zealand.
A few years ago, a former employee of Cloudy Bay set up his own business, and his wines have since shone at almost every tasting. Light greenish yellow. Delicately spicy on the nose, inviting elderflower, some gooseberry, green apple, very typical varietal bouquet. On the palate, very full of finesse and a touch slimmer and more elegant than some other wines from Marlborough, mineral in concept, racy, lemony, very drinkable, fine herbal touch on the finish.
