Tasting from 31.12.2019: Ulrich Sautter

An almost reductive fragrance at first, then spicy: red and black currant, cranberry, menthol, some nougat and dried tomato. In the mouth there's a powerful extract in terms of quantity but fine in quality, with ripe, fine-grained tannin of great resilience. Lots of juicy and viscous layers build before it finishes dry and with somewhat restrained fruit. Undoubtedly has great further ageing potential.
