The white wine Maranges 1er Cru La Fussière Blanc, vintage 2017 from the winery Domaine Bachelet-Monnot has been rated in 2020 by Peter Moser, Ulrich Sautter, Benjamin Herzog und Dominik Vombach with 92+ Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Chardonnay from the region Bourgogne in France.
Yeasty fragrance with discreet oak. In the mouth, on the one hand it's quite creamy and almost sweetish in its fullness of body, on the other hand there's firm acidity and a slightly phenolic core with a juicy, exciting finish. Distinctly chalky in character, in a somehow softer way than in Chassagne or Puligny, but equally refreshing. The finish gives a nutty spiciness with accompanying subtle yellow fruit.
