Tasting Notes
A surprisingly deep, opaque red in the glass gives off notions of iron oxide that then plunges into a coulis of forest fruit with all the implied darkness and tartness. Slowly a notion of crushed, wild blackberry emerges. The palate is concentrated, dense, but informed by a vivid, pervasive freshness. The tannins have a lovely grip, a pleasantly brushing astringency, and the finish adds spice and brings back that iron oxide. Bold but elegant.
