Dark ruby with purple reflections, subtly brighter at the rim. Intense dark-berry fruit, hints of liquorice and cassis, fine noble oak nuances underneath. Complex, tightly meshed, shows fine fruit expression and good freshness. The wine is ripe, with supporting tannins. It is mineral, still seems very youthful, yet accessible, and is a multi-faceted food companion with definite ageing potential.
