Tasting Notes
Textbook Naousa on the nose, with very prominent sundried tomato, and a hint of olive tapenade. It is rendered with a light touch, clarity, and a touch of rustic finesse. Consistent on the palate, with the tomato again present, together with fuller red fruit. The contrast with Earth & Sky is fascinating: the aromatic and flavour profiles are similar, but where Thymiopoulos goes for lightness and pleasure, Karydas delivers body and robustness. They will be fascinating to revisit side by side in a decade’s time. (Drink 2025-2032, where it will be 95-96.)
