Mahogany colour with orange highlights. Oak extract with fine herbal savouriness in the background, candied orange zest, some nougat, dried plum with nougat in the background, a hint of fresh porcini mushroom. Medium body, some mushroom, fine interplay of sweetness and acidity, vivid, nutty tannins, very slight hints of rancio, has good length, mineral nuances mingle with the sweetness of the finish. Despite the delicate mushroom notes, this is an incredibly exciting and expressive wine.
