The white wine Clos Ste. Hune Alsace Riesling Vendage Tardive, vintage 1989 from the winery Domaine Trimbach has been rated in 2024 by Ulrich Sautter with 93+ Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Riesling from the region Alsace in France.
There is no dry Clos Ste. Hune from this year, a high-quality botrytis developed too quickly. Quince, rose hip, apricot, smooth on the palate, fine sweetness, very powerful alcohol, creamy in the background, medium-fine phenolics, slightly drying despite the sugar. Yellow-fruity aromas dominate the finish, with notes of candied citrus fruit.
