Rich ruby colour with a light garnet rim. Compact nose, shows rich notes of blackberry, dark cherries, some cinchona bark in the background. Literally explodes on the palate, lots of ripe, vivid fruit, then opens up with lots of fine-meshed tannins, savoury depth, full-bodied drive.
