The red wine Pignolo Friuli Colli Orientali DOC, vintage 2017 from the winery Ermacora has been rated in 2023 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 93 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Pignolo from the region Friuli-Venezia Giulia in Italy.
Rich ruby red with slight garnet glints. The nose is racy, with lots of pepper, leather, a touch of tar and little fruit. On the palate it's delicate, almost ethereal in it's interplay of juicy texture and tense, imposing tannic structure. A refreshing acidity provides backbone to the long finish. Lots of future certain ageing potential.
