Slightly smoky on the nose, buttery, balsamic-herbal-spicy aromas, black cherry, some sultana, and discreetly nutty wood. On the palate there is a dense combination of juiciness and fine-grained tannin, well-integrated acidity and spicy flavours. The wine has a smooth base that serves as a backdrop for the dense, layered flavours that dominate the palate. Very good ageing potential.
