The red wine KUPE Escarpment Pinot Noir, vintage 2003 from the winery Escarpment has been rated in 2005 with 90 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Pinot Noir from the region Wairarapa in New Zealand.
Brilliant ruby garnet, violet reflections, broad rim brightening. Fragrant, ripe fruit on the nose, some dried fruit, but also preserved cherries, mineral nuances. Full-bodied and sweet on the palate, again pleasant cherry fruit, well-structured, supported by very fine tannins, lingers well.
