Clear, rich ruby. Somewhat dull on the nose overall and lacks definition, with aromas of walnut, dark chocolate and cherry compote. On the palate, initially round with lots of ripe fruit, then quite coarse tannin on the finish and a significant amount of residual sweetness. A style that takes a while to get used to.
