The red wine Chianti Classico Riserva DOCG, vintage 2016 from the winery Fattoria Montecchio has been rated in 2020 by Simon Staffler, Othmar Kiem with 91 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon from the region Tuscany in Italy.
This has a rich ruby colour. There are aromas of rich cherry and clove on the nose, along with delicate strawberry confit, and a spicy note. It opens up well on the palate, with good tension, a nice spiciness, and a harmonious finish.
