The red wine Tinorso Rosso Toscana IGT, vintage 2016 from the winery Fattoria Poggio Capponi has been rated in 2020 by Ulrich Sautter with 91 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Merlot, Syrah from the region Tuscany in Italy.
This has a deep dark garnet colour. There are very dark berry aromas on the nose, with resinous and spicy notes, cranberry confit, rich amarena cherry, wild berry, vivid oaky notes, and tar and graphite on the finish. It opens up on the palate, with notes of ripe berry fruit, and it is compact, with a vivid spiciness, grippy and delicately drying, with a lot of drive, and a long finish.
