The rosé wine Aprile Sicilia DOC, vintage 2020 from the winery Fondo Antico has been rated in 2021 by Othmar Kiem und Simon Staffler with 90 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Nero d’Avola from the region Sicily in Italy.
Intense, bright onion skin pink. Very fragrant on the nose, with notes of ripe blackberry, cranberry jelly, fig and a hint of dried apricot. Lively and juicy on the palate, opens with notes of citrus fruits, good tension, a subtle saltiness and a touch of grapefruit on the finish. Great value for money.
