Rich, deep ruby colour. Opens on the nose with light smoky notes, some graphite, then lots of plums and black cherries, cardamom in the background. Very dense and rich on the palate, lots of dark fruit, especially blackberries and plums. Compact, gripping tannin, develops towards a rich drive.
