The red wine Barolo DOCG Castelletto, vintage 2018 from the winery Fortemasso has been rated in 2022 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 93 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Nebbiolo from the region Barolo in Italy.
Bright, brilliant ruby in colour, slightly lighter at the rim. Fragrant and spicy on the nose, with subtle peppery hints at first, then rich raspberry fruit and memories of ripe red currants; the wine echoes with a subtle aroma of sweet spices. Clear on the palate, with beautiful tension and tightly woven, salty tannins; radiant and with a long, harmonious finish.
