The red wine Pònkler Pinot Nero Südtirol DOC, vintage 2018 from the winery Franz Haas Winery has been rated in 2024 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 96 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Pinot Noir from the region Alto Adige in Italy.
Rich ruby with a fine garnet rim. Concentrated and appealing nose, opens with notes of ripe plum, wild raspberry and savoury chestnut honey. Full-bodied and firm on the attack and finish, lots of red berry fruit, grippy tannins, firm drive on the finish, still somewhat influenced by the wood on the finish, which slows down the drinking flow.
