The red wine Barbaresco DOCG, vintage 2013 from the winery Gaja has been rated in 2016 by Othmar Kiem with 94 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Nebbiolo from the region Piedmont in Italy.
Bright intense ruby. Finely marked, inviting nose with notes of raspberry, rose petals, some cedar, subtle cinchona bark in the background. Flows quietly on the palate, fruity too, opens with polished, finely meshed tannins, fine drive on the finish, very balanced and elegant, salty aftertaste.
