The rosé wine Girofle IGT, vintage 2017 from the winery Garofano has been rated in 2018 by Peter Moser, Dominik Vombach, Benjamin Herzog with 92 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the region Puglia in Italy.
It has floral, cherry and hyacinth aromas. There is a complex palate which is slightly rich, and slightly salty, with a ripe acidity. It has just enough suppleness and body to maintain the drinking flow, and with just enough nerve and juiciness that the wine still seems round and harmonious. It is versatile, and is a culinary wine particularly with Mediterranean cuisine.
