The red wine Eloquenzia Rosso Copertino DOC, vintage 2016 from the winery Garofano has been rated in 2020 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 91 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Negroamaro from the region Puglia in Italy.
Bright, brightening ruby. Spicy notes on the nose hinting to a spontaneous fermentation, slightly yeasty and a touch of animal, followed by graphite and tar, a background of dark berry fruit. On the palate; emphatically spicy, with cranberry fruit, compact and with grippy-young tannin, has its own character, best to air before enjoying.
