The red wine Barolo Ester Canale Rosso Vigna Rionda DOCG, vintage 2016 from the winery Giovanni Rosso has been rated in 2020 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 98 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Nebbiolo from the region Piedmont in Italy.
Clear, intense garnet red. Complex and multilayered nose of ripe wild raspberry, pickled cherry and truffle in the background. Multilayered on the palate, shows fine cherry fruit and a salty finish. Finely-meshed tannins, long texture. Highly gluggable already but with a great capacity to age.
