Deep dark, very rich ruby red with a tendency towards black. On the nose it has elegant, delicate expression, some new oak, leather, ripe wild berry fruit. On the palate grippy, punchy, tightly woven in tannin, shows juicy salty tannin, comes in several layers, very complex and long.
