The red wine Monsvini Vino Rosso, vintage 2018 from the winery Gradis'ciutta has been rated in 2024 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 92 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon from the region Friuli-Venezia Giulia in Italy.
Dark ruby at the core with a brightening rim. Deep and dense on the nose, of ripe blackberries, undergrowth, damp earth, with dark chocolate and toasted wood behind. Full in the mouth and with lots of hearty fruit, on tight- knit tannins, with a long finish.
More about the tastingBright ruby red in colour with subtle brightening on the rim. A great, spicy nose, with aromas of forest floor and wild berries, some mint, leather, and cranberry. The palate has a fresh fruit core with juicy tannins, elegant cranberry notes, earthy, and a little warming on the back end, albeit with a rich, precise finish.
