The white wine Veigalobos Rías Baixas DO, vintage 2018 from the winery Granbazán has been rated in 2021 by Ulrich Sautter with 93+ Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Albariño from the region Rías Baixas in Spain.
Pomelo and blood orange at first contact, but then also intensely peppery, sparkling, then rosewood and lavender again, a chameleon-like changing, but always complex fragrance. Very full-bodied on the palate, almost viscous, powerful, but with a fine interplay of mineral spice and juiciness on the finish. Albariño at its maximum.
