Tasting from 16.04.2020: Benjamin Herzog und Dominik Vombach

Dark ruby, purple reflections, faint watery edge. Delicate fresh plum, dark forest berry aroma, some nougat, candied orange zest. Juicy, elegant, sweet texture, vivid, lightly savoury tannins, some cocoa on the palate, discreet acidity, a powerful, already well developed food wine with mineral, long finish.

Strong ruby garnet with purple reflections and subtle rim brightening suggesting some maturity. Ripe red forest berries and candied orange zest are underlaid with a hint of cassis and subtle nougatty notes. The palte is juicy, elegant and harmonious thanks to a core of sweet fruit and silky, well-integrated tannins. A mineral touch and chocolate nuances on the finish add complexity. Good length, this is already gluggable, but endowed with further ageing potential.
