The red wine Sansasìa Vino Nobile di Montepulciano DOCG, vintage 2017 from the winery Icario Winery has been rated in 2022 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 94 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Sangiovese from the region Tuscany in Italy.
Bright ruby red. Hearty nose of ripe plum, ripe blackberry and sugared violets, lingering cedar and a distinct aroma of peppermint. Opens on the palate with a polished and rich fruit core, is punchy, and builds in many layers. Whilst it’s still young at the moment, it will develop excellently in bottle.
