The red wine Vino Nobile di Montepulciano DOCG, vintage 2017 from the winery Icario Winery has been rated in 2021 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 92 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Sangiovese, Colorino from the region Tuscany in Italy.
Brilliant dark ruby red. Initially a little bacon and smoky on the nose, darkly savoury, opens on rich blackberry and precious wood. Dense on the palate with tightly woven tannins, powerful on the palate, finishes remarkably dry, currently still very young.
